Hello all to this week’s Cherry Post!
As usual before I start, just a reminder that if you love crafts & business to search Bonfire Banter on your preferred podcast platform such as Spotify, Google Podcast & iTunes to name a few. It’s a small podcast that I have been running with my friend Dene since April 2018, up to 21 episodes so far where we have talked craft fairs to how to deal with bad customer feedback. You can listen to all our audio content at The Great Shows here.
With that out of the way, lets start with this week’s post!
I start off talking about the Bonfirecherry Youtube channel, last Saturday a new video went live called “Mental Health + Craft” which you can find above. It’s a follow-up to a recent episode of the Bonfire Banter podcast which you can find here, that I decided to do a video follow-up on.
While on the same day, I recorded 2 new videos called “The History of Bonfirecherry” + “Why It’s Great To Support Local Small Businesses” which you can watch in the upcoming weeks. One of the original youtube videos I produced for the channel was a video talking about the two subjects together but decided to dedicate 2 separate videos.
During most of the week I went editing the videos, “The History of Bonfirecherry” will be live this Saturday, while “Why It’s Great To Support Local Small Businesses” will be live in 2 weeks, you will find out why in a second.
I received this months InkDrops parcel on Tuesday, I always love getting something from this small subscription box service every month where I get some awesome unique stationery that you can always find a use for
This month was no different when I recorded the unboxing video which will go live next Saturday.
On Wednesday I returned for the Bonfirecherry print shed for like the third time, not to record any video content but to do some decorating!
Well before I even got into the shed, I had to do a bit of gardening (thankfully no pictures of this) outside of the print as there was overgrown weeds & stinging nettles on the path to the shed and near the shed that some manage to get into the place where Bonfirecherry produces it’s unique wonderful linout products due to it’s an old P.E shed so there is a few holes.
There isn’t a lot of decorating I can do on the outside of the print shed, maybe I can paint it a bright colour?
Anyway on the inside, I decided to add a lot of colour to inside of the print shed by adding a lot of Naruto & One Piece posters, some of you may know this already or may have got this from this choice of decoration, I am big fan of Japanese anime/manga.
Some Bonfirecherry designs are inspired by the genre, so expect Bonfirecherry’s trip to Japan in November (which I’m getting more & more excitement about) to bring even more designs inspired by the genre + Japan in general, I’ve already got most of my suitcases packed already.
I think that’s everything for this week, thanks for reading!
