Hello all to this week’s Cherry Post!
As usual before I start, just a reminder that if you love crafts & business to search Bonfire Banter on your preferred podcast platform such as Spotify, Google Podcast & Itunes to name a few. It’s a small podcast that I have been running with my friend Dene since April 2018, up to 18 episodes so far where we have talked craft fairs to how to deal with bad customer feedback. You can listen to all our audio content at The Great Shows here.
I start the post off by talking about a magazine. Last Friday I was in town in my step sister doing some errands, I had a drink at Olly B’s Kitchen & Bar and while I was there I bought a copy of “Happy Hood”. It’s a magazine ran by the Happy You Project that talks about the positive things about Northampton, nowadays it’s not that easy to find something that tells you about the good stuff that goes on in your town so this was a great magazine to check out.
I started Saturday morning by gift wrapping and sending out an order for an Atmos The Unicorn tote bag.
This was the 2nd out of 4 orders that received a cool/cute gift tag from The Pop Out Card Company that I received from Ink Drops, watch the unboxing of me receiving these here..
I had some left over A2 card from one of the custom projects I worked out last week, so the rest of Saturday I started to produce a big design that I will show more of soon.
I hunted town one of the biggest designs I have ever produced late last year/very early this year, a design I originally had in mind for a tea towel but looks great as a print. What do you think??
With big ideas in mind, I decided to produce a colourful A3 print version of Yonko’s Messenger for Magee St Bakery.
While I was going through A3 designs, I decided to bring back some classic Bonfirecherry designs such as the ones that were inspired by Amsterdam.
I got around to updating Bonfirecherry’s customer feedback page this week, always good to show off the support Bonfirecherry has received over the years, you can find the page here.
Following on from the colourful version of the Yonko’s Messenger mentioned earlier, having to find another home for the print as the frame is big for the shelves that Magee uses for prints. Got some ideas of other locations.
Now to finish the post off, lets talk about Conversation Starters, an event hosted by The Start Of Something NN. The last event I attended that hosted by them was all the way back in February, long overdue!
This event was being hosted at The Black Prince, a pub based in the centre (more or less) of Northampton. I got to the event early due to I came into town to have something to eat beforehand. But getting there early meant I could chill before people turned up and there was a fair few people who turned up.
We talked mashed potato sandwiches, raspberry jam to how to improve Northampton forever everyone, I could go more into it BUT I recorded a vblog of the event which will be live on Saturday, so I will leave it to that!
I think that’s all, thanks for reading!
