The Cherry Post No.156 | New Totes Meet-Ups

Hello all to this week’s Cherry Post!

As usual, before I start the CP, just a reminder if you like art and crafts, I recommend you check out the Bonfire Banter podcast!

It’s a small podcast that I run with one of my best friends Dene that we have been producing since April 2018. You can find all the content we have produced so far by checking out The Great Shows here but you can find the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, Google Podcast & now Youtube!

With that out of the way, let’s start the post!

To follow up from last week, I amended the planned new Bonfire Banter podcast logo by changing it to a square shape so the logo appears correctly on iTunes, Google Podcast & Spotify. What do you think?

After some wait, I’m happy to announce that episode 15 of the Bonfire Banter podcast aka the first episode of 2019 is now live! Me and Dene talk about networking groups + meet-ups, which you can find here!

Along with a new logo for the Bonfire Banter podcast, during the week I produced a new one for the Northampton Creative Meet-Up. It’s a small meet-up group I set up recently for the creative people I know of in Northampton (currently just the people I know in real life, on social media etc). I’m really proud of how it turned out!

As a crafter, I have to get into the swing of things early so this week I have been thinking about Easter. To start off the Easter spirit early, I decided to bring back an old Bonfirecherry classic tote bag design called “Rabbits Aren’t Just For Easter” that I originally produced a few years ago. By the time you are reading this, you can find the tote bag here.

Something you hopefully might see soon is a brand new look for Bonfirecherry.com a bit more professional looking at what it looks like at the moment. Can only show teasers for now

Thursday night was interesting as I went to an event called “The Start Of Something NN” run by a group of people of the same name, the first of a series of new events looking how we can creativity re-imagine Northampton town centre together as a community (Confess I got this from their Instagram profile, so I don’t miss anything out on their cause, BTW NN is the postcode for Northampton, for those who don’t know).

Anyway the event was on between 6-8pm, I got to town early as I was in charge of sorting dinner out for myself so went to the Zapato Lounge (the venue I’ve picked for Northampton Creative Meet-Up) as it was just around the corner of the venue for the event. Managed to have a burger and churros just in time to run around for the start of the event!

I’m not going to say/too much about the event as I documented the evening in video form that will be this weeks Bonfirecherry Youtube Channel video but I can say I enjoyed it as I made 2 new creative friends that you will see in the video which I will show off and talk about in next weeks CP!

It was inspirational to be around people who want to make Northampton more creative again, it’s good to support local independent businesses!

On that I think that’s all for this week’s CP, thanks for reading!
